A 55 mile walk in Manchester
The Bogle Stroll is a 55 mile walk around Manchester and is the longest running sponsored event in the whole of the North-West and is currently coming up to its 56 year in action!
It began in 1961 when a group of lecturers from the University missed their last train home and took on the challenge to walk all the way from Lancaster back to Manchester.
10th – 11th March 2017
This year we welcome walkers to attempt one of the three Bogle challenges:
- Bogle Stroll – A 55 mile walk taking between 14 and 24 hours to complete
- Bogle Ramble – A 26 mile walk around South Manchester and taking up to 10 hours to complete
- Bogle Relay – The total 55 miles walked as a team effort. Split a team of four or more walkers into two, once the first half of the team finishes the South Manchester loop, the other half will begin the North loop. The whole route for only half the distance!
The event is organised by students at the University but is open for anyone to take part. This year MASH are the chosen charity for the funds that are raised so we are super excited and looking for as many people as possible to rise to the challenge!
The cost to take part is £20 (£10 is a deposit which will be refunded) and we ask everyone to raise a minimum of £75 in sponsorship.
MASH fundraisers will receive a fab fundraising kit with a T-shirt and badges along with full sponsorship support. On the evening Helen the MASH fundraiser will be chasing you around the course in the lovely MASH Van with drinks and biscuits!
There is an easy on-line booking system so please book your place today!
